I have been checking out this blog which I have neglected for a very long time.I do realize that a very long time ago I posted a pic of myself and said I would post a follow-up pic of myself AFTER my haircut. That's pretty funny. That was a long time ago. I am not sure WHY I quit writing here but I guess it might be time to pick it up again.
Perhaps, some times for me recently have been very painful. It was hard to write through these painful times. Some issues with my youngest Son, the loss of a very dear friend in a horseback riding accident, the loss of my position at Braddock Hospital, my Father's ongoing health problems, being injured in a fall early this year and starting a new job, just to name a few. Well, the morning is beautiful and I love mornings..........so while reading my cousin's blog I was bitten with the bug to continue my own.
To fill in between the lines would take too much time so let's just say that ,"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." I guess this applies here. In addition, the Grace of God, as always, has pulled me through. God never fails me. Mostly, issues are not solved, but I have the strength through Him to see things through without falling apart. My moments of despair are met with amazing Grace, and with each new day, as I rest in the comfort of His loving arms, I gain perspective and fortitude to plow forward. Remembering always, that the problems of my life pale in comparison to the problems of others in almost all instances, this is true. Still I do not minimize the way that these trials are shaping me. It is a journey and it is about the destination.
So I will post that picture and see where my blog takes me in the coming weeks and months.
I will end with one of my favorite Bible verses that seems to apply:
" Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest"
